Recipe: Carrot Cake Oatmeal
Let’s get this straight…
Sweet is a flavor too! Just like salty, sour, bitter, pungent and savory/umami!
They’re ALL part of our biological human senses and need to be FED, especially in Winter.
If you’ve been feeding your sweet cravings with refined sugar, it’s time to phase that out (most of the time) 😜. Refined sugar will send your blood sugar and energy on a never ending roller coaster ride.
It’s more of a “borrowed” or “fake” energy.
Instead, try adding sweet foods throughout your day to satisfy your natural desire for sweetness in an earthy, grounding and healthy way. Then, watch your energy strengthen and your sugar cravings disappear!
There are many foods that we do not think of as sweet, but actually are…. like onions, root vegetables, grains, and many more. These foods are also rich in antioxidants, minerals and fiber. Learn all about this in Episode 8!
