Episode 15: Your guide to Cleansing

Recipe: Detox Smoothie

Did you try cleansing or dieting for your New Year’s Resolution?

How’s that going… not well?

Here’s the reason:

Dieting, is not in rhythm with winter!

As we explained in our winter episodes, winter is the time to root down, build and deeply nourish the body.

So, on Jan 1 your “diet” turns into a struggle & fight against what your body really wants and needs- warm and comforting food!

But here’s the cool part:

If you’ve been following Simply Seasonalall winter long, you should feel strong, nourished and rooted, which means NOW your body is ready and able to cleanse and let go of everything that no longer serves you… including extra pounds!

SPRING is the time to cleanse!

Most importantly, the ultimate goal of cleansing is to give our liver a break.

It’s been working so hard for you all year long, especially in winter. So it’s time to show your liver some love!

To do this, we need to get our bodies moving. Not just on the outside with exercise, but also on the inside with our circulation, lymph, digestion, bowels… all of this needs to move to help clear out stagnation, excess heat and toxins.

And whether you’re up for a gentle cleanse or a more intense version, there’s a cleanse for everyone.
