Episode 41: Respiratory, Cold + Flu

Recipe: French Onion Soup

Did Dwight at the office sneeze on your stapler again?

Don’t blame him for catching a cold!

Getting sick is a normal part of life. It’s actually healthy to get sick every so often to help build your immune system and antibodies 🌿.

But, if you find yourself in a pattern of always getting sick, getting sick at specific times of year, or when you do get sick, it’s so extreme that it knocks you off your feet 🛌… then it’s time to take action!

Your immune system needs to be nourished- deeply with seasonal foods!

When sickness happens with the change of seasons, it’s indicating that we are out of balance. The elements are changing, but likely our behaviors of diet and lifestyle are not.

The fall wind blows ðŸ’¨ in which will cause all sorts of havoc in your body if you’re not prepared.

Specifically vulnerable this time of year are the lungs, gut, and skin.

So if you don’t transition to a slower pace of life and eat seasonal fall foods, these organs will be weekend and you may “fall” sick with a cold, flu, bronchitis, strep throat, allergies, etc 😷.

Before running to the doctor, stop and think…

All a doctor can do is prescribe you an antibiotic- which only helps bacterial infections- most colds and flus are viruses…🚫💊

Instead, try taking these steps in supporting your immune system and respiratory system, especially this Fall season!
